Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his part in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. He discovered his love for acting in his early days at school and then pursued acting studies in The University of Colorado at Boulder. While he's appeared in both films and television, it is his characters on the smaller screen that earned him a cult admirers. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters on both sides of the law to grab an audience's attention. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played the role of a serial killer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. He's been nominated numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his smaller screen performance. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be his striking blue eyes. They are believed to be his trademark. They helped in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
